​1. Geographic location:

Vinh Thanh commune is located in the southwest of Nhon Trach district, 5 km from the distric’s center, and 45 km from Bien Hoa city. The total natural land area is 3301.29 ha as follows:

+ Vinh Thanh borders on Phu Thanh and Long Tan communes, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the north.

+ Vinh Thanh borders Phuoc Khanh commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the south.

+ Vinh Thanh borders on Phu Dong commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the west.

+ Vinh Than borders on Phuoc An commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the east.

2. Administrative unit:

At present, Phuoc Thanh commune is divided into 10 hamlets: Hoa Binh, Thanh Minh, Son Ha, Vinh Cuu, Thanh Cong, Thanh Nghia, Dai Thang, Thong Nhat, Nhat Tri, and Doan Ket.

3. Terrain:

Vinh Thanh has a plain terrain, which is favorable for cultivation and livestock activities.

4. Climate:

Vinh Thanh is located in a tropical climate with 2 seasons with the rainy season starting from May to October and the dry season starting from November to April next year. The average temperature is 29 Celsius degrees with the highest temperature of 32 Celsius degrees, the lowest temperature of 29 Celsius degrees, and rainfall reaching 1,600-2,000 mm/year.

Vinh Thanh’s current total population is 17,353 people and 3,447 households and its ethnic minority groups are mostly the Kinh and it has 3 main religions of Catholicism, Buddhism and Caodaism.
