Accordingly, the high-tech agriculture will focus on
the application of technology to select, create and multiply crops, livestock
breeds and aquatic breeds such as hybrid advantage use technology, food mutation
technology, and biotechnology; reproductive technology, especially the animal
cell technology in freezing sperm and embryos, distinguish genders, in-vitro
fertilization; application of traditional methods combined with biotechnology in
breeding and rapidly multiplying new livestock breeds and disease-free aquatic
species.
The technologies of cultivation, livestock and
aquatic farming are technology to complete and automate the process of
cultivating and harvesting plant varieties in net houses and greenhouses (media,
hydroponic technology, water-dripping irrigation, automatic control of
nutrition, lighting, care, and planning); the technologies of intensive farming
and integrated crop management; the technology of safe crop production according
to VietGAP; technology to synthesize and automate the industrial-scale livestock
process with the use of closed cages, air-conditioning system, good humidity, a
system of supplying and calculating the amount of animal feed in cages, the
concentrated and advanced technologies and models of fishery farming according
to the new standards like GAP, BMP and CoC with some key aquatic species; the
technologies of making animal feed and aquatic veterinary medicine, types of
vaccines for prevention and treatment of aquatic diseases, biological products
for environmental treatment, and so on.

The field of preserving and processing agriculture -
forestry - fishery products is related to irradiation technology, cold and quick
drying technology in preserving agricultural products; controlled atmosphere
packaging technology; quick and cold storage technology combined with ethylene
absorbers to keep fresh fruits and vegetables; the technology of creating films
for preserving vegetables, fruits, meat and eggs; fermentation technology,
biotechnology and microbiology for the production of biological products and
natural colorants and additives in the preservation and processing of
agricultural products; wood modifying technology; ecological drying technology;
soaking technology to protect wood and prevent termites; biotechnology to make
producing environmentally friendly coatings; and so on.
