Farmers in Tan Hanh commune, Bien Hoa city grow orchids towards applying high technology 

Accordingly, the project orientates the development of various types of agriculture applied with high technology to improve the quality of hygiene and safety for agricultural products and the applied areas are Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Trang Bom, Thong Nhat, and Vinh Cuu districts and Bien Hoa and Long Khanh cities.

The project contributes to orienting production development, stabilizing and improving the life of part of the urban and suburban residents in response to the impact of the entire region’s industrialization and urbanization. These models are expected to be implemented as from 2020 and are involved in growing safe vegetables, mushrooms, and ornamental organisms, and supplying forest seedlings; developing a number of livestock and aquatic products that cause little environmental pollution.

The agricultural growth rate of the southwestern region of Dong Nai province will be maintained with the aim of increasing the average product value up to more than VND230 - 240 million per ha of agricultural land; raising the rate of contribution to the value of urban agriculture from 1.9% at present to 4.4% in terms of the region’s total agricultural production value.
