1. GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION

- Xuan Bac Commune is located 24 km north of Xuan Loc District center, 75 km from Bien Hoa City. The commune is crossed by the provincial road 763, with total length of 8 km.

- The commune’s administrative borders are as follows:

+ Its north borders Suoi Nho Commune (Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai Province)

+ Its west borders Long Khanh Town (Long Khanh Town, Dong Nai Province)

+ Its east borders Suoi Cao Commune (Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province)

+ Its south borders Xuan Tho Commune (Xuan Loc District, Dong Nai Province)

Xuan Bac has natural land area of 6,127 hectares and a population of 21,762 people.

2. ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS

Xuan Bac Commune consists of 12 hamlets, including Hamlet 1, Hamlet 2A, Hamlet 2B, Hamlet 3A, Hamlet 3B, Hamlet 4A, Hamlet 4B, Hamlet 5, Hamlet 6, Hamlet 7 and Bau Coi Hamlet.

3. TOPOGRAPHY

The commune has relatively flat topography of which 98 percent has a less-than-8-percent slope and gradually lowers, from the northwest to southeast direction. Currently it is in the growing season of fruit, rice and short-termed crops.

4. CLIMATE

The commune is located in the tropical near-equatorial monsoon climate with two seasons in a year.

The rainy season lasts from May and October. Average temperatures: 25.4  degrees Celsius with a large amount of sunshine (5.7 to 6 hours per day on average).

Precipitation: 956 – 2,139 mm per year.

Humidity:  Between 75 and 85 percent.

Ethnicity: Kinh, Tay, Muong, Ch’ro and Chinese;

Religion: There are four main religions, including, Catholicism, Protestantism and Caodaism, as follows:

Buddhism: Two Buddhist temples Quang Phuoc in Bau Coi Hamlet, with 752 Buddhist followers;

Catholicism: Xuan Bac Parish in Hamlet 3A; Tu Vinh Son Christian Church and a hamlet parish, with 1,950 Catholic households;

Protestantism: 13 Protestant households;

Caodaism: Nine Caodai households;
