Tan An is located to the south of Thong Nhat district’s center and is 22 kilometers from the district center, and 25 kilometers from Bien Hoa city. The total length of administrative boundaries is 38.535 km.

It has a natural land area of ​​5,270.07 ha, 4,503.88 of which is agricultural land, accounting for 85.46% of its total land area.
