Industry and small industry and handicrafts:
The commune’s industry and small industry and
handicrafts have still been able to maintain stable but not strong production.
Due to not being able to be fully exploited and promote all the potential and
strengths of the commune, production models are still small and scattered and
today’s main sectors are still making furniture for household uses, mechanical
processing, garments, noodle processing, and alcohol making. The consumption
market is self-supply and production depends on seasons.

Agriculture, forestry and fishery:
Agriculture: the commune’s agricultural land area
is mainly planted with crops and fruit trees of the commune’s agricultural
advantages; the commune’s livestock activities: most of the commune’s land is
used for agricultural purposes with 4,354.94 ha of land, accounting for 90.96%
of the natural area; non-agricultural land is 432.76 ha, accounting for 9.04%;
land for food crops is 1,390.2/1297.6 ha; land for starch trees is 67.2/64.2 ha;
land for annual industrial crops 91.6/164.3 ha; and land for annual food crops
is 34.2/41.4 ha; and land for annual other trees is 45.7/61.4 ha.
Particularly, 176.9 ha of coffee; 1,788.38 ha of
rubber (plantations: 1,513.98 ha and households: 274.4 ha); 56 ha of pepper;
362.2 ha of cashew; 247.8 ha of rambutans; 41.6 ha of durians; 15.8 ha of
mangosteens; 10.8 ha of bananas; 1.6 ha of mangoes; 20.6 ha of jackfruits; 38.6
ha of some other perennial trees 38.6 ha; 16.7 ha of bamboo shoots with the
yield of 18 tons/ha and 76.7 ha of scattered forest trees that are not old
enough for exploitation.
+ The commune’s cattle and poultry livestock: there
are now 313 small-scale breeding households and 13 livestock farms with a total
of 17,302 cattle in the commune. The commune’s livestock activities are
relatively stable and continue to develop towards the models of farms to reduce
environmental pollution.
Services, trade and tourism:
The commune’ trade and services are continuously
developing, creating favorable conditions to meet locals’ needs of life and
production. The production establishments have thrived in both quality and
quantity; for example, groups of metal engineering: 8 establishments; garments
and small industry and handicrafts: 5 establishments; food processing: 2
establishments; groups of commerce and small business: 163 establishments;
information technology: 2 establishments; and other services: 10 establishments.
The value of industry, small industry and handicraft, and trade - services in
2010 reached VND8 billion VND and it was estimated to reach VND54 billion.
Education:
The commune’s list of schools:
Song Nhan secondary school has a total number of 432
students/13 classes in the school year 2019-2020 and a total number of 28
teachers.
Song Nhan primary school has a total number of 450
students/17 classes in 2019-2020 school year and a total number of 22 teachers.
Quang Trung primary school has a total number of 222
students/10 classes in 2019-2020 school year and a total number of 9 teachers.
Song Nhan kindergarten has a total number of 210 of
264 children/9 groups of classes mobilized to school, reaching 80% as planned:
+ Kindergartens: 3 classes: 35/70 children, reaching
50% as planned; 35 out of 154 children accounting for 23% of local children.
+ Preschools: 176/194 children, reaching 91% as
planned and 6 classes with 176 out of 198 children, reaching 89% of local
children.
+ Only 5-year-old children: 56 out of 67, reaching
84% as planned.

The school has 7 groups of classes: 2 kindergartens
(1 group of 25-36 month age kids, 1 group of 6-24 month age kids), 5
kindergartens (2 classes of 5-year-old kids, 1 class of 4-year-old kids and 2
classes of 3-year-old kids)

Thien An kindergarten: the kindergarten has 3
children including 1 from outside the commune and the preschool has 17 children
including 5 from outside the commune.

The commune’s library: the commune has a library at
the center for culture, sports and community learning with a reading room on an
area of 25 sqm and the bookcases of the commune’s Propaganda and Education
Commission with a total number of 2,006 book titles.

culture, sports and community learning are 800 book titles.
+ The bookcase of the Party Committee’s Propaganda
and Education Commission: 500 book titles.
Every year, more than 50 new book titles are added
from the library of Cam My district’s Culture and Information Division.
The commune’s education: the commune currently has 1
national standard school and the remaining 4 schools are attempting to meet the
required standards for national schools according to the regulations until 2020.
The contingent of teachers has met required standards and above the required
standards but there is still a shortage of teachers at schools, especially at
primary schools and preschools. Every year, the commune is able to complete 100%
of its targets of mobilizing children to school and finish their classes; the
number of students completing primary education and graduating from secondary
schools is over 99%; and every year the commune is able to the standards for
universal education at all 3 levels of school.
Health:
The number of medical staff at the commune’s medical
station is 5 including 1 doctor, 2 physicians, 1 nurse, and 1 midwife. In
addition, the station has a team of collaborators and communicators to give a
hand to disseminate propaganda information on disease prevention and community
health care.

medical stations performs their tasks in primary health care for local people
well, implements universal immunization programs, prevent epidemics and supply

also coordinates with concerned sectors to organize medical examination and

The commune’s cultural house:
The commune has 6 cultural houses in 8 hamlets
with hamlets 2 and 61 sharing the same cultural institution with information,
culture, sports, and community learning. The commune’s center for culture,
sports and community learning meets required standards according to the Circular
no. 06-2011 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which regulates the
model of organization of activities and criteria for cultural houses and sports
areas and Circular no. 05-2014 on the amendments to Circular no. 12-2010 and
Circular no. 06-2011 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The commune’s cultural post office:
There is 1 postal services point in the commune with
the code of 816233 in hamlet 2, Song Nhan commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai
province. The telephone number is 0613701007 and there is one telecommunications
station located in hamlet 2 in the center of the commune, which meet people’s
needs to receive and deliver postal and telecommunications services for people
in the commune.
- Facilities: the commune’s postal services point
has spacious area and equipment suitable to the model of organization and
provision and to meets local needs to use local postal services; the postal
services point has a sign; opens from 7:30 to 11:30 in the morning and from
13:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon, and from 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturday morning;
provides clear information on its postal services prices; and the opening time
is 4 hours/ day.

ensures to provide mail services with receivers’ address, services for a single
package or parcel with a weight up to 2 kg, packages and parcels of goods with a
weight of up to 5 kg. In addition, the commune’s post office is entrusted with
the payment of insurance and pensions for the commune’s beneficiaries.
The commune’s cultural activities: the commune has a
radio system consisting of 22 loudspeaker clusters, 1 website, and poster
clusters to disseminate communications and propaganda information on cultural
activities which are held regularly to celebrate the major national holidays of
the year. The center for culture, sports and community learning has 1 mini
football field, 1 volleyball court, 1 badminton court and 3 sports clubs such as
traditional martial arts, football, and badminton that are still able to
maintain regular activities from Monday to Sunday every week, attracting more
than 10,000 visitors every year.
