1. Industry and
Small-handicraft Industries
The total output value hits
VND32.360 billion per year. The total number of employees is 576. There are 96
facilities. Tan My Pig Slaughter Cooperative has an annual revenue worth nearly
VND500 million.
2. Agro-forestry and Fishery
Cultivation: people mostly
grow rice, vegetables, beans of all kinds, including:
+Rice covering 15/15 hectares,
with 33 quintals a hectare, producing 49.5 tons;
+Vegetables and crops covering
5.5/3.5 hectares, reaching 142%, with 100 quintals a hectare on average,
producing 55 tons;
+Peanut covering 2/2 hectares,
with 28 quintals a hectare on average, yielding 5.6 tons;
Husbandry: the locals
mainly raise cows and pigs. There are 26 livestock raising households (of which,
24 households raise 83 cows and two raise 265 pigs).
Aquaculture: fish raising
ponds with 5 tons, the total annual value of fish production is VND90 million.
3. Tourism and Services
Buu Hoa Ward has one market with
more than 80 trading households and more than 150 business households, basically
meeting the local needs. The total annual sales are worth VND50 billion.
4. Culture, Sports, Education
and Healthcare
Culture and Sports: Every
year the ward's Radio Station propagandizes the Party and State's guidelines and
policies to people along with slogans, banners and a cheerleading vehicle that
regularly moves on the local roads launching emulations, welcoming great
holidays, propagating to each alley and quarter to help people get informed
promptly. The ward annually organizes sporting events for people to watch and
play in order to mobilize people’s solidarity in building cultured life in
residential areas and striving for getting achievements in cultured quarter
building.
Education: Buu Hoa ward
has Buu Hoa kindergarten, Tran Van On Primary School and Ngo Gia Tu Secondary
School and one Community Learning Center. Every year the educational
universalization and anti-illiteracy operations are fostered and implemented,
the rate of illiteracy eradication has so far satisfied the standards of
age-based educational universalization, gradually improving people’s background
and the application of science and technology and information technology in
life.
Healthcare: The ward’s
Health Station and General Clinic, with a team of one chief, four physicians,
two nurses, and two midwives, serve people and conduct vaccination against six
diseases for children every month and about 400 medical examinations and
treatments a month on average. In addition, the sector also cooperates with
relevant sectors to launch the movements on sanitation and epidemic prevention,
mosquito larvae elimination to prevent dengue fever, food hygiene and safety
inspection, and encourage people to use clean water for health.
5. Public works
The rural transport
socialization: the ward has surveyed to upgrade canals in each quarter. It has
mobilized people to reinforce and repair alleys, making them greener and
cleaner. The ward has tested and put into use the following roads:
