​1. INDUSTRY - SMALL INDUSTRY AND HANDICRAFTS

Xuan An’s small industrial and handicrafts production is mainly involved in the fields of garment processing, mechanics, and footwear. The total number of manufacturing units under Xuan An’s management is 140 facilities including 125 small industry and handicrafts facilities and 15 construction facilities. The sector’s value is estimated at VND122.4 billion, up by VND6.4 billion over the first half of 2017, accounting for 5% compared with the resolution in 2018 (15% - 16%).

Xuan An People's Committee always encourages all the economic sectors to pour their investment capital in purchasing new equipment to improve the quality and design of products to be competitive enough on the market, to meet businesses’ growing demand, to make capital support plans for manufacturing households, and to ensure no environmental pollution in residential areas.

2. SERVICES - TRADE - TOURISM

Xuan An now has 1.687 businesses (commerce: 634, accommodation services: 13, food and drink services: 389, transport and warehouse: 32, other services: 524, private and limited companies: 95). The value of the trade and services in the first half of this year was estimated at VND277.2 billion, up by VND21.8 billion over the first half of 2017, accounting for 8.5% compared to that of the resolution in 2018 (17-18%).

Xuan An’s commercial activities and services have basically met the public consumer demand for goods and services, and both purchasing and selling power is stable. Xuan An People's Committee has also called for business households with stable business ability to join hands in the program that sells suggested price stabilization products.

3. EDUCATION

Xuan An has 5 schools: Thanh An kindergarten, Kim Dong primary school, Tran Phu primary school, Phan Chu Trinh primary school, Le Quy Don junior high school. Particularly, Xuan An has 2 schools that meet the national standards: Kim Dong primary school and Le Quy Don junior high school.

In addition, there are Van Hien privately-owned high school and Quang Chanh Chinese language institution in Xuan An.

4. HEALTH

Xuan An’s medical station is a unit that has met the standards for the National Health Criteria in 2014.

The number of medical staff at Xuan An’s medical station is 7 people including:

+ Pharmacists: 1

+ Nurses: 1

+ Official in charge of population affairs: 1

+ Oriental medicine physicians: 1

Xuan An’s health care facilities are separate, cool, clean and convenient for people’s medical examination and treatment. Simultaneously, it is fully equipped with the equipment for the community’s medical examination and treatment, healthcare, and related health issues in the locality.

Xuan An’s medical station staff is always active to maintain their duties, to give medical examination and treatment, and to always improve their spirit and attitude of serving patients and improving medical examination and treatment.

5. CULTURE

At present, Xuan An has no cultural houses, but it has the post offices of Long Khanh town. Xuan An also disseminates propaganda activities via various forms such as broadcasting information on its loudspeaker system, broadcasting information on mobile loudspeaker vehicles. Also, there are a lion dance team and a Taichi team, who regularly practice and take part in competitions.

+ Xuan’s cultural houses: it has a community learning, culture and sports center and cultural houses in 6 out of 6 quarters associated with the scientific and technological information points that regularly maintain and develop the activities to meet the demand for enjoying people’s cultural.

+ Long Khanh post office is also located in Xuan An, and it provides public postal services and other business services and organizes the activities like reading books, newspapers, and publications to receive and deploy the programs and projects for its development of information and communications and other programs and projects of the local government.

- Xuan An participates in cultural and artistic exchange activities, musical performance, l training and sports inside and outside the ward; builds bookcases for people from all walks of life; maintain the activities of reading books and newspapers effectively and offer advice on how to encourage education among peoples’ children and how to prevent social evils.

Now, Xuan An has 6 bookcases: a central bookcase, a women’s bookcase, a law bookcases, and 3 family bookcases in quarters 3, 5 and 6. It has  1,207 book titles for readers and books are rotated and brought back to meet readers’ reading needs.

Xuan An has set up 28 clubs, groups, and associations including: a Chinese chess club, a singing bird club, bird house festival, happy family club, a bird and ornamental plants club, a happy family club, a Taichi club, a “Say no to domestic violence” club, a musical performance club, a poem and singing club, a lion dance club, a “The elderly live happily and healthily,  a badminton club, a solidarity club, an ornamental plants club, an Inter-generation and help-each-other club, a walking club, a anti-domestic violence club, an anti-advertisement and flyer club, a lion dance team who always helps Xuan An to take part in musical and dancing activities during Tet holidays and other holidays.
