1. GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Suoi Cao Commune is located north of Xuan Loc District
center, 5 km from the provincial road 766 and 8 km from National Highway 1A,
with total area of 5,410.73 hectares.

+ Its south borders Xuan Truong Commune (Xuan Loc District)
+ Its east borders Xuan Thanh Commune (Xuan Loc District)
+ Its west borders Xuan Bac Commune (Xuan Loc District)

2. ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS
Suoi Cao Commune consists of 8 hamlets, including Gia Lao,
Gia Ty, Phuong Vy, Cay Da, Cha Rang, Bau Sinh Hamlets. Population structure is
diverse and complicated. Locals are originated from many provinces and cities
across the country.
3. TOPOGRAPHY
Suoi Cao Commune has relatively flat topography which
gradually lowers from the south to the north. Areas with some 15-degree slope
make up 0.7 percent of total natural land. Flat, under 8 degrees, slope
topography accounts for 87 percent while 8-15-degree slope is comprised of 12
percent.
4. CLIMATE
The commune has typical features of the near-equatorial
monsoon tropical zone with steadily high temperatures all year round, high and
seasonally different precipitation, as follows:
+ Average sunshine hours: 5.7 to 6 hours per day; the
steadily high temperatures during the year (25.4 degrees Celsius on average)
+ Average precipitation is between 1,956 and 2,139 mm per
year and seasonally different. The rainy season starts in May and ends around
the end of November, accounting for 90 percent of the whole-year rainfall. The
dry season lasts between early December and April, only making up 10 percent of
the rainfall.
+ Average evaporation: 1,100 -1,300 mm per year;
evaporation level in the dry season triples that of the rainy season, leading to
unbalanced humidity, especially during dry months.

Total population: 9,549 people
Total households: 2,214 families
There are 8 ethnic groups, including 7 minorities including
121 households with 635 people, making up 5.6 percent of the population.
