- Bao
Vinh is located 3 km from the center of Long Khanh town to the east of Long
Khanh town. It has a total area of 1,579.4 ha, accounting for 8.13% of the
total land area.

Vinh borders on Bao Quang and Binh Loc communes, and Long Khanh town in Dong Nai
province to the north.

Vinh borders on Xuan Thanh and Xuan Trung wards, and Bau Tram commune in Long
Khanh town, Dong Nai province to the south.

Vinh borders on Suoi Tre commune in Long Khanh town, Dong Nai province to the
west.

Bao
Vinh has a relatively flat topography and a wavy terrain and it tends to tilt to
the west - southwest and the north - northeast. Bao Vinh has an average slope of
00 - 80, a relative height of 150 m and an absolute altitude is 160 m above the
sea level.

CLIMATE
Bao
Vinh is located in the tropical monsoon climate with two distinct seasons, the
rainy season from May to November and the dry season from December to April next
year. The annual average rainfall is about 2,200 mm, and Bao Vinh has the
humidity of 91%, an average temperature of 25 - 26 Celsius degrees with the
highest temperature of 34 - 35 Celsius degrees and the lowest temperature of
about 19 - 20 Celsius degrees throughout the year.

HISTORY AND CULTURE
The Vinh Biet T-junction
Bao
Vinh has a historic site called the Vinh Biet T-junction, which is now the Ong
Phuc T-junction bordering on Bao Vinh A, Ruong Hoi and Ruong Lon hamlets. This
place is the place where many battles of the guerrilla of Bao Vinh, and of the
special task force of Long Khanh town occurred and where a lot of enemies were
killed. Also, the Vinh Biet T-junction was a place that had caused a lot of fear
and terrors among the enemy during the fierce war years.
Thanks to people’s patriotic tradition and spirit of fighting throughout the
resistance war against the US, the army and people of Bao Vinh made a lot of
achievements, contributing to the liberation of the South, and the national
unification to bring peace back to the country in general and to Bao Vinh’s
people in particular. In 1978, the guerrilla of Bao Vinh were conferred the
title of “Hero of the People’s Armed Forces” and in 2012 the people and armed
forces of Bao Vinh were conferred the title of “Hero of the People’s Armed
Forces”.

POPULATION
At
present, Bao Vinh has a population of 16,177 people with 4,330 households. There
are the ethnic minority groups living in Bao Vinh such as Chauro, Chinese, Tay,
Nung, and Khmer.
There
are religions in Bao Vinh such as Buddhism, Christianity, Protestantism, and
Caodaism. Particularly, there are 1,460 Buddhists, 630 Christians, 36
Protestants, and 35 Caodaists, and the rest of people worship their ancestors.
