​1. INDUSTRY - SMALL INDUSTRY AND HANDICRAFTS

- Industry: Bao Vinh is an agricultural commune, and it mainly grows fruit trees, resulting in the fact that its industry has not developed. Currently, Bao Vinh has its Suoi Tre industrial zone, which is located on an area of 50 ha in Suoi Chon hamlet, which is now in the process of building its infrastructure and attracting investment. At present, there are 4 investors that are conducting their production activities here.

- The business activities of some typical enterprises: Bao Vinh has 4 privately-owned companies and 24 limited companies which are established to meet people’s demand for labor and life as well: Huy Bao Petrol One Member Co., Ltd, Hung Thinh Phat Processing Garment Co., Ltd, Dang Lien Cashew Nut Co., Ltd, and so on.

In the future, Bao Vinh sets its orientation for industrial development, and it is expected to develop an industrial zone, mainly small industry and handicrafts.

2. AGRICULTURE, FORESTRY AND FISHERY

- Agriculture: Bao Vinh’s total land area is 1,579.4 ha including 1,237.4 ha of agricultural land accounting for 78.34% of its total land area. As an agricultural commune, Bao Vinh has many kinds of key fruit trees such as rambutans, jackfruits, oranges, grapefruits and mangosteens.

- Bao Vinh has a total number of 44,627 cattle and poultry heads including 38,184 poultry heads, 6,443 cattle heads, and 5,528 pigs, and the rest are cows and goats. Bao Vinh’s livestock activities are on the decrease compared with those of the previous years due to unstable prices, but it is expected that its livestock sector will develop further in the coming time.

3. SERVICES - TRADE - TOURISM

- The total number of trade and services facilities is 696, and that of small industry and handicrafts is 155. The number of people that is involved in trade, services and small industry and handicrafts accounts for 10% of Bao Vinh’s working age population. The SMEs in Bao Vinh have been operating well to meet the requirements for production and people’s life as well as create jobs for hundreds of its laborers. However, most of Bao Vinh’s trade, services, and small industry and handicrafts facilities are operating in a small scale and a scattered manner.

4. EDUCATION

Bao Vinh has 4 schools: Ngo Quyen junior high school, Ly Tu Trong primary school, Bao Vinh primary school and Anh Duong kindergarten, and Ngo Quyen junior high school and Anh Duong kindergarten are recognized to meet the national standards.

- The number of teachers at each level of school: 54 junior high school teachers, 63 primary school teachers, and 30 pre-school teachers.

- The number of students at each level of school: 883 junior high school students, 1,434 primary school students, and 551 pre-school students.

- Bao Vinh’s library: the library is situated at the commune’s Community Learning, Culture and Sports Center where there is a bookcase of law related books and 2,197 book titles of various types to satisfy its people’s reading needs.

- In general, Bao Vinh’s teaching and learning activities are well maintained. Its education universalization and illiteracy elimination are always maintained, its universalization of primary and lower secondary education has reached level 3 and its illiteracy elimination has reached level 2. In addition, Bao Vinh’s Learning Promotion Association has completed its tasks effectively as well as cooperated with the compatriot liaison committees of Quang Nam - Da Nang and Quang Ngai in offering books and bicycles for the needy students.

5. HEALTH

Bao Vinh has 1 medical station with 9 medical assistants whose qualifications and experience can fully meet the demand for people’s medical examination and treatment. Simultaneously, the medical station is equipped with necessary machinery and devices to serve people.

Bao Vinh medical station is equipped with all the necessary equipment and it has adequate conditions to take a good care of the public health.  Bao Vinh has paid a good attention to the national and community medical programs and its health sector has managed to maintain the standards required by the national criteria for communal health in the period of 2011-2020 and since 2012.

6. CULTURE

- Bao Vinh has a community learning, culture and sports center and 5 cultural houses in 5 hamlets. Bao Vinh community learning, culture and sports center regularly organizes cultural, musical, and sporty activities as well as offers free vocational training to rural labor.

- Bao Vinh has 5 volleyball teams, 5 football teams, 5 musical performance teams, 1 badminton club, and 1 Chinese chess club. Also, it regularly creates conditions for its football and volleyball teams to compete with other teams inside and outside the commune as well as to participate in football and volley ball events and Bao Vinh has won high prizes at the musical performance contests held by Long Khanh town.

- Bao Vinh has a cultural post office, which is operating effectively. Besides its effective performance in providing post and telecommunications services, taking charge of the monthly payment for pension earners and social policy beneficiaries, Bao Vinh post office is a place for people to come and read books and newspaper free of charge, thereby helping people to gain an access to information and knowledge as well as fully grasp the Party’s guidelines and policies and the State’s laws to improve people’s knowledge and spiritual life.
