resources:

Yellow-gray (AC) soil group: 167 hectares, accounting for 1.9 percent of natural
land area, distributed mainly in the west and north of the commune, of which
68.2 percent is of over 100 cm-thick top layer and 31.8 percent is of 70-100
cm-thick top layer.
- Red soil
(FR) group: 130 hectares, accounting for 1.6 percent of natural land,
distributed on relatively steep terrain (8-150), of which over 77 percent has
100 cm-thick top layer and 23 percent is of 30-50 cm-thick layer. Red soil is
suitable for perennial industrial crops, pepper and fruit trees.
- Gray
soil (LX) group: 8,202 hectares, accounting for 95.1 percent of natural land
area, evenly distributed across the commune, of which 66 percent is of over 100
cm-thick top layer. There are four main types of soil: 377 hectares of grayish
brown soil with aggregates in the north, 543 hectares of gray-brown gley along
the streams, 4.679 hectares of typical grayish soil in the north of National
Highway 1A and 2,331 hectares of reddish brown soil in the south of National
Highway 1A.
3. Water
resources
Xuan Hoa
has small streams belonging to the Dinh River system, with the tributaries
originating from the southeastern area of Chua Chan mountain, with the basin
area of 227 km2, including the main streams such as Gia Ui, Da Hoi, Da Krie
streams. The flow is relatively decent at about 32.6 l/s/km2 but with narrow
basins, poor vegetation, and a prolonged dry season makes the streams depleted
at the end of dry season.
Xuan Hoa
Commune is located in a poor area of groundwater, on red soil, weathering from
underground basalt rocks and groundwater appears at depths of 25-30 m and in
other areas it appears at depths of 60-80m, with an average flow of 0.7 - 12
l/s.
4. Forest
resources
The total
forest area is 3,853.63 hectares, of which 1,647.17 hectares is protected by
Xuan Loc Protection Forest Management Board and 2,206.46 hectares is production
forest. The forest coverage rate is quite low at only 34.99 percent but taking
the perennial tree area into account, the coverage rate is quite high at 64.98
percent.
Forest
trees are mainly acacia, nacre and some other plants. Concentrated reforestation
and forest extraction have brought revenue worth over
VND35 billion per year.
5. Mineral
resources
There is
only one stone quarry in the Hamlet 2 Farm which is being exploited by IDICO.
The rock reserve is estimated at 20,000 cubic meters.
6.
Communications
Communication facts: The commune has one radio station, distributing 35
loudspeaker clusters to residential areas, with an average broadcast time of
three hours per day. Mobile and communications network coverage is available and
the Internet is equipped with connections linking most of the central area, at
the rate of 3.04 telephone sets per household.
7.
Transportation
The
National Highway 1A crosses the east-western region with 5,744 km in length,
facilitating the flow of goods and passenger transportation. There is also a
1,625km long North-South railway.
The road
system almost covers in the entire commune. There are 49,271 km of inter-commune
roads, main commune roads, hamlet paths and main intra-field laneways in the
commune, of which asphalted or concreted roads have a total length of 41,311 km
and earth roads have a total length of 7.96 km.
