Long Giao commune has 3,750
laborers at their working age, accounting for 53%. The laborers in agriculture
and forestry account for 75%-85% and laborers in other industries account for 15
- 20%. Long Giao is a commune with abundant labor resources and many residents
from many other regions of the country come here to settle. Local residents work
hard, are industrious and have a sense of thrifty to develop their family and
society. The workforce in the mainstream technology sector is limited and
laborers are often attracted to such major cities and economic centers as Ho Chi
Minh city and Bien Hoa city.
2. Land:
Most of the land in Long Giao
commune is very fertile and rich in minerals, and is suitable for planting all
kinds of industrial crops and perennial fruit trees such as durians, rambutans,
longans and high-value trees like coffee, rubber, cashew, pepper and so on.
Particularly, Long Giao has 2 main groups of land:
+ Dark-red land has an area of
3,081.4621 hectares, equivalent to 95.47%.
+ Black land has an area of
146,2262 hectares, equivalent to 4.53%.

3. Transport:
The National Highway 56 has a
length of more than 7 km running throughout the commune, and a village road of
10 km runs from Long Xuan to Xuan Duong communes and it also runs through Long
Thanh district.
Long Giao commune has a
well-developed road system. Most of the villages and communes are located along
Highway 56, so it is very convenient for travel and transport of agricultural
products. The sections of the inter-commune asphalted roads and the asphalted
road sections in the neighboring communes are under construction. Therefore,
cultural exchange is relatively convenient. This is an advantage for the
commune’s economic development.
4.
Communications:
The commune’s
communication system is developing rapidly and currently has more than 400 fixed
subscribers, 1 post office in the center of the district and 1 post office in
the commune. In addition, Vinaphone broadcasting station here always ensures
communications 24/24.
