1. Land:
According to the land use plan until 2010, Long Giao
is supposed to strengthen land management, settle the cases in which people
register for land use rights and transfer land use rights, and collaborate with
authorities to complete land clearance for social security constructions with
the intention to change the commune’s entire economic structure.

2. Industry:
It is necessary to build small-and- medium-sized
industrial zones in the commune to attract laborers. These industrial parks will
cover an area of about 100 hectares by 2005 and about 300 hectares by 2010.
The business establishments will exploit an area of about 25 hectares by 2005
and 40 hectares by 2010.
3. Agriculture:
Due to the development of infrastructure and social
constructions, the area of agricultural land tends to decrease. Therefore, the
commune seeks ways to develop intensive and extensive farming and high value
crops, especially fruit trees and perennial industrial trees. The area of
fruit trees is expected to reach about 170 hectares in the near future.
4. Services - Trade - Tourism:
+ Services and trade: In 2005-2010 period, Long
Giao implemented many new projects such as markets, bus stations, post offices,
petrol stations, transformer stations, banks, agricultural material stations,
clean water supply stations and so on that occupy an area of about 31
hectares.
+ Tourism: Long Giao is full of hills, mountains,
steep roads and rivers with great potential for developing ecotourism. In the
future, 1 artificial lake will be built on an area of nearly 120 hectares to
develop the ecotourism in Snake Pass.
