1. Geographic location:
Hiep Phuoc township is located in the northeast of
the center of Nhon Trach district, is 6 km from the district’s center, and is 30
km from Bien Hoa city.
2. The natural land area:
Hiep Phuoc township borders on Phuoc Thien commune,
Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the north.
Hiep Phuoc township borders on Long Tho and Phuoc An
communes, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the south.
Hiep Phuoc township borders on Long Tan and Phu Hoi
communes, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province to the west.
Hiep Phuoc township borders on Long Thanh district,
Dong Nai province to the east.

4. Terrain:
The commune’s terrain:
- Terrain: the commune has a relatively flat terrain
that tends to lower from the northwest to the southeast and is divided into 2
main types:
+ Flat and high terrain: it is located in the
commune’s western area. The slope is 3 to 8 degrees with a popular altitude of
50-55 m. This region has a solid geological layer and a high terrain, which is
suitable for planting perennial industrial crops such as cashew, rubber and
fruit trees as well as residential arrangement and construction of industrial
works.
+ Low terrain: it is distributed in the east of the
commune, which is the area for growing rice.
5. Culture and history:
The victories that the commune’s people have made:
- Hiep Phuoc commune was established on the basis of
merging Phuoc Lai commune and Phuoc Kieng commune (in Long Thanh district)
according to Decision No. 12 / HDBT dated January 17, 1984 of the Council of
Ministers, with an area of 1,803 ha. , population of 9,250 people.
- In 1994, the Government issued Decree No. 51 - CP
divided Long Thanh district into 2 districts: Long Thanh and Nhon Trach,
therefore Hiep Phuoc commune belongs to Nhon Trach district, currently Hiep
Phuoc commune has natural land area. 1,882.94 ha with a population of 36,105
people.
6. Population:
- Population: the commune has 36,105 people, 5,959
households, and 25,018 at their working age, accounting for 69.2%; the
population density in residential areas is 4,408 people/square km (Source: Nhon
Trach district’s Statistical Office on December 31, 2013).
- Hamlets and neighborhoods: the commune has 5
hamlets as follows:
Hamlet 1: 205.29 ha, 1,303 households, 8,340 people
and 16 groups of people.
Hamlet 2: 187.47 ha, 637 households, 2,724 people,
and 9 groups of people.
Hamlet 3: 138.88 ha, 1,752 households, 11,200 people
and 33 groups of people.
Hamlet 4: 372.41 ha, 1,251 households, 7,622 people,
and 13 groups of people.
Hamlet 5: area 978.86 ha, 1,016 households, 6,219
people and 14 groups of people.
Total population: 36,105 people.
