Support activities are implemented by local units and agencies

Previously, the People’s Committee of Dong Nai province had released dispatch no. 5,485 that comments and clarify the responsibilities of Directors of Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, Finance and People’s Committee of districts for giving support payment to people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor and near-poor people, social protection individuals, people with difficult living conditions due to the COVID - 19 pandemic according to the provincial People’s Committee’s Plan no. 4,979. Simultaneously, it is necessary to direct departments, sectors and localities to urgently review and compile lists and funding costs for the four groups of people mentioned above. So far, this has been urgently carried out by departments, sectors and localities.

To support people, Dong Nai Province’s Post Office has worked closely with Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Bien Hoa city and local People’s Committees to widely disseminate propaganda information time, date and venues to receive support money to people. Simultaneously, it has proactively reviewed the list and directly contact the elderly, and the disabled without relatives and the staff of post offices will directly go to beneficiaries’ households to give support money.

According to appointments, those on the list of people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor and near-poor people, and social protection individuals that are entitled to the government’s social security package worth VND62 trillion in localities can go to the provincial Post Office to receive their support money.

The programs to support epidemic-hit people with difficulties have been carried out during COVID-19 period

According to the Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Bien Hoa city, the People’s Committee of Bien Hoa city has identified more than 21,700 people in 4 groups of people with meritorious services to the revolution, poor and near-poor people, and social protection individuals are entitled to the social security package worth VND62,000 trillion according to the government’s Resolution no. 42.

It is expected that the support amount is over VND30.8 billion. Up to this afternoon, Division of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinated with the provincial Post Office has been able to provide support money equivalent to VND750 million for about 500 people in Quang Vinh, Long Binh and Trang Dai wards. This is also the first locality in the province to give support money to 4 groups of beneficiaries.

After the dispatch no. 5485 of the provincial People’s Committee, Bien Hoa city and departments, sectors and other localities have been able to fix errors and urgently review the list and coordinate with the provincial Post Office to give support money to people with meritorious services on both Saturdays and Sundays to help people stabilize their lives after COVID-19 pandemic.
