Vocational training for farmers:
The production and business activities of some
typical enterprises: the commune’s value of industry and small industry and
handicrafts production reached VND17,446,902,000 increasing by 11.86% compared
to the same period last year and reaching 99.86% compared with the resolution.
The operation of the industry and small industry and handicrafts establishments
in the commune in recent years has tended to grow strongly. Some establishments
processing cashew nuts, and welding and construction establishments and so on
are thriving, bringing out high economic efficiency.
The commune’s workforce, industrial potential and
industrial development orientations: the commune encourages and creates
favorable conditions for the development of professions and services for
agricultural and rural development such as mechanical engineering repairs,
preliminary processing of agricultural products and supply of materials, goods,
plants, animals and so on; promotes local trade and services to reduce the value
difference between goods in rural areas compared to that in the city to better
meet people’s needs in both production and life.
The commune continues to improve the quality of
cooperatives and cooperative groups; timely assess the efficiency of each
production model; put forward solutions for removing difficulties and problems
and replicating effective models; and strive to build a production connection
model associated with agricultural product consumption for farmers.
Agriculture, forestry and fishery:

Agriculture: the commune’s agricultural land area is
planted with the commune’s crops like fruit trees of advantages in agriculture
and the commune’s raising poultry:
- Cultivation: the area of agricultural land is
2,363.99 ha (including the rubber area under the management of the plantation),
and all the area is planted with perennial industrial trees, fruit trees and
annual crops and coffee, cashew, green-skin grapefruits are determined to be the
major crops of the locality, bringing high and stable income for people.
In recent years, the commune’s People’s Committee
has strengthened its calling for farmers to renovate and convert ineffective
crop areas into more efficient ones. Specifically, 43.9 ha of cashew and coffee
has been converted into rubber plantation; 118.9 ha of cashew into coffee, 20 ha
of crops of all kinds into green-skin grapefruits, and 115 ha of cashew into
pepper. Particularly, 40 training courses and seminars on the techniques of how
to take care of and preventing pests and diseases on plants, and on fertilizers,
pesticides, and new high-yield varieties with more than 2,452 arrivals of
farmers’ participation were organized; calling for people to develop
agricultural production towards connection has been enhanced and up to now,
there have been Thua Duc bee honey cooperative and 8 crop cooperative groups
including 1 rambutan cooperative group; 1 citrus cooperative group; 1 rice
cooperative group; 1 coffee cooperation group; 1 grapefruit cooperative group; 1
goat-breeding cooperative group; and 2 cow-breeding cooperative groups have
still operated effectively.
- Livestock: there are livestock activities in the
commune like raising cattle, pigs, cows, goats, ducks, chicken and so on.
Particularly, pig raising is the commune’s major livestock sector with 320
small-and-scattered livestock households. The total number of pigs in 2010 were
3,425 heads and the number was estimated to reach 8,215 heads, an average
increase of 24%/year.
Services, trade and tourism:
The commune’s labor structure, services and trade
and the commune’s product value during the year: the value of industry and small
industry and handicrafts and trade - services in 2015 reached VND35.5 billion
VND, and the value was estimated to reach VND225.994 billion in 2019. In
general, after 5 years’ having implemented programs trade and services has
basically developed to meet social needs.
Education:

secondary school, Thua Duc 1 primary school, Thua Duc 2 primary school, Tuoi
Ngoc kindergarten, and Tuoi Tho kindergarten.

+ In the academic year of 2018-2019, there were 342
students in total with 46 students ranked as very good, accounting for 13.22%;
121 students ranked as good, accounting for 34.77%; fair students accounting for
45.40%; 22 students ranked poor, accounting for reaching 6.32%; and 1 student
ranked weak, accounting for 0.29%.

accounting for 100% as planned.

students, accounting for 96.69% (6th grade students: 80 out of 88 students,

out of 89 students, reaching 98.87%).

above required standards; redundant teachers: 4 including Thua 04 teachers, of
which: 1 teacher of physics, who has quit enjoying social insurance benefits and

is 31 including 2 from the school’s Board of Directors; 19 class teachers 19; 1
in-charge teacher; 1 fire prevention assistant; and 8 staffs including 1
technician, 1 PV, 3 security people, 1 medical person, 1 filing clerk, and 1
librarian.
+ Mobilized students: 291 out of 287 students,
reaching 101.39%.
+ The results of the 2018-2019 school year: of 291
students 99.66% of students completed their required tasks; 63 students were
rewarded; 46 students were ranked excellent, accounting for 27.88%; 3 students
have not completed their educational program, accounting for 5%.
+ The enrollment results of the academic year of
2019-2020 and the total number of classrooms is 13.
+ Mobilized students: 288 out of 288 students,
reaching 100% (1st grade: 60 out of 58 students, reaching 103.45%; 2nd grade: 58
out of 60 students, reaching 96.66%; 3rd grade: 55 out of 54 students, reaching
101.85%; 4th grade: 53 out of 53 students, reaching 100%; and 5th grade: 62 out
of 63 students, reaching 98.41%.

is 20 including 2 from the school’s administration, 13 teachers and 5 staffs.

total number of students was 226; 98.67% of students are assessed to complete
their tasks; 103 students were awarded with 62 outstanding students, accounting
for 35.40%; and 1 student has not completed the program, accounting for 0.34%.

+ Mobilized students: 240/238 students, accounting
for 100.80% (1st grade: 50/47 students, reaching 106%; 2nd grade: 58 students;

including 3 school administrators with 3/3 levels, reaching 100%; 17 teachers
reaching 100% required standards for above standards 12/7 accounting for 70.5%
and 9 staffs, reaching 100% and 1/9 above standards, reaching 9%.
Health:
The number of medical staff at the commune’s health
station: 6 people including 1 doctor, 2 3-year-college midwives, and 1
reproductive support beneficiaries, 1 traditional medicine doctor and 1
pharmacist.

center of the commune and its address; hamlet 3, Thua Duc commune, Cam My
district, Dong Nai province.
Medical services for people: to fully meet people’s

The commune’s cultural house:
The Center for Culture, Sport and Communication
Learning. The communes’ cultural house has an area of 12,061.7 sqm, 600 meters
of which construction area is about 60 mét vuông and 4 functional rooms
including 1 gym with the construction of 3 minerals.

Thua Duc Commune
Hamlet 3’s culture house uses 1 of 4 functional
rooms of the information, culture, and community learning to build hamlet 3’s
culture house. The planned area includes parcel no.325 with a total area of
1,150 sqm.
Hamlet 4’s culture house and head office land area
is 1328.4 sqm.
Hamlet 4’s culture house 4 with the construction
area of 130 sqm; the total amount to be granted for new construction is
VND362,948,000.
Hamlet 8’s cultural house has an officially land
area of 534.4 sqm.
Hamlet 8’s cultural house 8’s construction area is
125 sqm, the total amount of 139,626,000VND for repairs and funding by the
district People’s Committee; equipment in the hamlet’s culture house, which is
purchased by people by tables, chairs, television and so.
Tu Tuc cultural house: head office has a land area
of 5457.5 sqm
Hamlet 8’s culture house has a construction area of
130 sqm with the total amount of VND140,367,000 and the funding source of
repair is given by the district’s People’s Committee and the equipment in the
hamlet’s culture house is also purchased by local, carpentries, tables, chairs,
television and so on.
The commune’s post office:
Pursuant to the Decision No. 1812/QD - CPT dated
November 5, 1999 by the Director of Dong Nai Post Office on the establishment of
the post office of culture in Thua Duc commune. Located at hamlet 3, Thua Duc
commune, there is one post office in the commune to meet people’s needs such as
monthly subsidy payment services for social objects and so on; gift delivery
services, fax, identity card transfer and so on have adequate equipment that is
suitable for the provision and use of postal services by local people

The cultural activities in the commune: every year
the commune organizes more than 6 public cultural touring activities and more
than 6 sports entertainment to meet people’s entertainment needs, coordinates
with the province’s 4 mobile cinema teams to serve more than 20 showing
times/year.
