The workshop was attended by the
leaders of Department of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control and Department of
Health Insurance at the Ministry of Health, the representatives of SFA, SHIFT
and USAID projects, and the leaders of Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city and Tay Ninh and
Tien Giang provinces.
Insurance policies offer more rights and benefits to people
Participating in the workshop, delegates heard representative present some
contents in Decree no. 146/2018/ND-CP offering details and measures to execute
some articles of health insurance and the Ministry of Health’s Circular no.
27/2018/TT-BYT dated October 26, 2018 on how to implement health insurance and
medical-insurance examination and treatment related to HIV/AIDS.
For a number of new policies and regulations on how to assist to cover health
insurance costs and make ARV payment for HIV-infected patients, Prime Minister
assigned the People’s Committees of provinces and cities to allocate funds to
ensure that 100% of HIV-infected patients with health insurance cards are
assisted to cover costs for using ARV services.
