Farmers are supposed to actively prevent pests and
diseases
Specifically, on the summer-autumn rice plants that
are in a seedling stage, the rainy weather has facilitated the attack of golden
apple snails on the infected area of about 167 hectares and the occurrence of
blast rice disease on about 71 hectares. Especially fall armyworms have attacked
corn plants and caused damage on nearly 500 hectares and manioc leaf mosaic
disease on about 451 hectares.
For perennial crops, such diseases as anthracnose
disease, fast death - slow death; rust disease and mealy bugs; pink fungus and
purulent disease.
A lot of diseases have appeared on crops due to the
fact that that it has rained heavily in the province and heat and humidity have
also created favorable conditions for pests and diseases to attack. To
effectively prevent pests and diseases, the provincial agriculture sector
recommends that farmers should take the initiative in prevention.
