So far Trang Dai ward has 53 establishments, with annual turnover of
VND50 billion.
2. Trade
There are a total of 692 business households, with turnover of
VND60.552 billion.
3. Forestry
Reforestation area currently
covers 168.187 hectares, including 101 hectares of production forest and 67.18
hectares of protective forest.
4. Agriculture
Farming land across the ward includes 497.8 hectares of perennials,
127.9 hectares of annuals. Vegetables are grown on an area of 50 hectares,
making up 100 percent, including 8 out of 10 hectares of safe vegetables,
accounting for 80 percent. Cassava growing area is 15 hectares, making up 100
percent.
Facts of livestock breeding: According to statistics earlier 20o6,
the total number of livestock raising household is 414, with the entire herd of
43,221 heads (including 42.688 pigs per 365 households; 512 cows per 43
households and 21 bears per six households.)
In response to the livestock raising suspension policy of the city
to date farmers have stopped raising poultries, gradually reducing cattle,
moving sheds to concentrated farms, phasing out husbandry within the ward.
5. Trade, tourism and
services
Currently the ward is calling on building an official market. At
present business households are doing business at 3 temporary markets across
the ward. Overall trade and services have fewer opportunities to develop.
Tourism has no potential (eco-tourism.)
6. Culture, Information,
Education and Healthcare
Culture and Information: Via the radio and television, banners,
panels, posters, leaflets, etc. Department of Culture – Information – Sports
conducts propaganda and mobilization activities for people to follow the guidelines
and policies of the Party and laws of the State, popularizing key political
tasks to all walks of life.
Art performing movements are fostered, including the mobile
information team, which is vibrantly operating, winning many prizes, often
participating in performance shows between localities. The grassroots movement
of sports and exercise draw the interest of the government, regularly
organized, being a widespread workout campaign following Uncle Ho.
All people unite to build new cultural life campaign: Earlier this
year 5 out of 5 quarters registered to get Cultured Quarter title; 100 percent
of households (6,966) registered to get Cultured Family title. As a result, 4
out of 5 are recognized as Cultured Quarters and 86.5 percent of households are
Cultured Families.
Education: In terms of education and training, thanks to the fact
that schools have already been built meeting the teaching and learning demand the
3rd shift learning and illiteracy have been eliminated. Since 2000
Trang Dai has been recognized to finish educational universalization; rates of
passing the class and graduation exams are at 98.4 percent on average. Notably 100
percent of children at the age of 6 enter Class 1. During the 2006-2009
academic year schools collected VND340 million of parent’s contribution to
educational socialization.
Healthcare: The ward always meets
the requirements of national programs for health checkup and treatment;
plans and implements 10 national standard programs; Vitamin A administering
program; mother and child healthcare program; conducts propaganda about
anti-malnutrition, and nutrition practice for children and pregnant women;
implements school healthcare programs, making up 100 percent; fulfils 97
percent of the levels of environmental medicine and regularly conducts
inspection over food hygiene and safety.
The ward also carries out tuberculosis prevention & control
program, leprosy program, goiter prevention & control program and HIV/AIDS
prevention & control program
7. Public work construction
In capital construction, realizing the policy of
the State and people collaboration, Trang Dai has so far constructed and
upgraded tens of thousands of meters of concrete and asphalt roads; three
bridges, along with drainage ditch systems. Implementing the transport
socialization, during the year quarters mobilize funding from people to level
and upgrade 16 inner roads with the total cost of VND888.8 million. Public
infrastructures have been gradually completed and put into use for intentional
purposes. Specifically there are a cultural house, a health station, quarter
offices and three schools. Infrastructure construction in Trang Dai is kept at
an appropriate rate; therefore, 98 percent of household are accessible to power
grid, 97 percent households use tap water and more than 80 percent of households
have audiovisual media and means of transport.
