of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s
Committee, and Chairman of the provincial Military Service Council Cao Tien
Dung; Colonel Nguyen Van Dung, Deputy Commander of the provincial Military
Command; leaders of the city’s Party Committee and People’s Committee of Bien
Hoa city; the representatives of units receiving troops for training and nearly
500 young people doing their military service in the city in 2020.

According to the Military Service Council of Bien
Hoa city, the provincial People’s Committee assigns the city to recruit nearly
500 young men including more than 440 doing their military service and 40 others
doing their service in people’s police forces for a period. The quality of the
city’s young men enlisting in the military this year is improved. Among 440
enlisting young men, Party members account for 3% and the number of youth with a
3-year associate’s degree or a higher-level degree account for 15%. The city
assigned troops to 10 units: Military Academy (Military Region 7), General
Logistics Department, General Department of Engineering, Air Force Division 370
(Air Force), Guard Battalion 180 (Military Region 7), Artillery Brigade 75
(Military Region 7), Infantry Division 5 (Military Region 7), Tank Academy 1
(Tank and Armor), the provincial Military Command and Public Security.
To ensure safety during the enlistment ceremony
facing the complicated development of Coronavirus disease 2019, before going to
their units 100% of new recruits had their body temperature checked and given
masks, and washed their hands with hand sanitizer. Besides, this year’s
enlistment ceremony did not include camping activities, cultural and artistic
exchanges, giving flowers to new recruits, parting recruits’ relatives, and so
on.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Pham Anh Dung, Chairman
of the city’s People’s Committee and Chairman of Bien Hoa city’s Military
Service Council hoped that new recruits would promote their talents,
intelligence and efforts to study and train to successfully accomplish their
tasks during the training period and well perform the task of defending their
Fatherland.
It is known that in 2020 Dong Nai province will be
assigned to recruit and call for nearly 2,800 young men including 2,750 people
that enlist in the military according to the targets set by Military Region 7 at
the Ministry of Defense and 225 young men that join hands in doing their service
in the provincial Public Security for a period. in districts, Bien Hoa city and
Long Khanh city.
The quality of enlisting young men continues to be
guaranteed with 36.25% graduating from high schools (up by 1.72% compared to
2019); with 14.18% graduating from 2-year colleges and universities (up by
2.83%); with 97 young men who are Party members, accounting for 3.5%; with 2.4%
of young men admitted to the Party for over 6 months (up by 0.4% compared to the
targets set by the Military Region); and with 100% of young volunteers
registering to enlist in the military.
