A tree-planting ceremony was held in the commune
The launching ceremony was attended by 200 youth
union members, officials and soldiers of Regiments 3 and 88; Southeastern Region
Police Regiment; and people of Song Ray commune.
After the launching ceremony, youth union members
planted 1,000 Burma padauk trees and 1,000 Cassia fistula trees in the commune.
Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the
Standing Committee of the provincial Youth Union Nguyen Thanh Hien said,
environment-related issues are pressing worldwide. Therefore, levels of Youth
Union will continue to further implement their projects and youth’s tasks to
contribute to protecting the environment and responding to climate change;
proactively disseminate propaganda information on planting, taking care of,
protecting green trees and the environment and responding to climate change to
youth union members.
