Accordingly, 3 temporary quarantine posts in the
province include post no. 1 on Highway 20 at the border of Tan Phu district and
Lam Dong province; post no.2 on National Highway 1A at the border of Xuan Hoa
commune in Xuan Loc district and Binh Thuan province; and post no.5 in hamlet 2
in Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district. These are that temporary quarantine posts
that were established between February and March, 2019 with the aim of
controlling and supervising the vehicles transporting pigs including cooked and
processed pork products to Dong Nai province to contribute to preventing and
controlling the province’s African swine fever.
Earlier, on November 14, 2019 the provincial
People’s Committee dissolved 4 temporary quarantine posts in Long Thanh and Cam
My districts and Bien Hoa city. Therefore, 7 out of 7 temporary animal
quarantine posts established to prevent and control African swine fever in the
province were decided to be dissolved by the provincial People’s Committee.
During their operation period from February 25, 2019
to April 21, 2020, these 7 temporary animal quarantine posts in the province
checked a total of 18,163 vehicles and transported 3,263,792 pigs through the
locality including 3,092 vehicles that transported 592,380 pigs from provinces
and cities for consumption in Dong Nai province. Although these posts were
dissolved according to regulations and in accordance with the reality situation
after African swine fever had been kept under control. However, the inspection
and control of transporting, trading, and slaughtering animals are still
strengthened through the inspection activities of the following sectors: police,
market management, veterinary, and so on to contribute to preventing and
controlling the risk of epidemics from entering the locality.
