Disinfection chemicals are sprayed by mobile vehicles

Not long ago, the provincial Center for Disease Control cooperated with the district’s Medical Center in conducting a campaign to kill mosquito larvae and spray chemicals on a large area in 4 out of 5 hamlets in Bao Binh commune to prevent and control dengue fever. There have been 34 cases of dengue fever in this commune, twice as many as those in the same period of 2019.

Due to the fact that this year’s prolonged dry season and hot weather, people tend to have a habit of storing water for daily life activities but do not cover water containers, thereby creating an environment for mosquitoes to reproduce and develop, the district has called for the entire political system to join hands in preventing and controlling dengue fever such as strengthening communications activities related to giving away leaflets, disseminating propaganda information on loudspeaker and mobile vehicles.

Particularly, the team of collaborators went to each household to monitor and ask them to turn water containers upside down to prevent mosquitoes laying eggs and take other disease prevention measures. The campaign to kill mosquito larvae to prevent and control dengue fever in the province takes place from May 15 to 24.
