​1. INDUSTRY - SMALL INDUSTRY AND HANDICRAFTS

Bao Quang has no large industrial facilities but mainly cashew nut processing facilities, and mechanical processing and machinery facilities for agricultural production, accounting for 24.73% of the economy. Bao Quang has its annual sales of VND153,246,000,000.

2. AGRICULTURE – FORESTRY - FISHERY

Bao Quang has an agricultural land area of 3,344.9 ha. Bao Quang’s major crops are such fruit trees as jackfruits, rambutans, grapefruits, durians, oranges, and tangerines; and it also has other industrial crops like coffee, pepper, and cashew.

In terms of its livestock activities, Bao Quang has approximately 41,000 chickens, 4,000 ducks, 1,011 pigs, 5,303 goats and 241 cows.

Bao Quang had its agricultural production value worth VND335 billion in 2017.

In terms of forestry, Bao Quang has about 25 ha of planted forest including mainly newly-planted Khaya senegalensis and Acacia auriculiformis whose exploitation period hasn’t come yet.

In terms of fishery, Bao Quang has 8.5 ha of ponds and lakes in which types of fishes are mainly raised in both rainy and dry seasons.

3. SERVICES – TRADE - TOURISM

Trade and service activities are maintained and continue to develop, better and better meeting the public needs. There are 4 businesses; 5 companies, 211 small-and-scattered manufacturing facilities in Bao Quang. The value of the trade-service sector is about VND131,382,000,000 billion VND in 2017.

No tourist routes have been formed in Bao Quang.

4. EDUCATION

Bao Quang has 4 schools (1 kindergartens, 2 primary schools, 1 secondary school) including: Bao Quang secondary school; Nguyen Du primary school; Nguyen Hue primary school and Bao Quang kindergarten.

Particularly, Bao Quang secondary school and Nguyen Hue primary school have met the national standards and the remaining schools are in the process of building and striving to meet the standards in the near future.

Bao Quang has completed and maintained its title for a commune meeting requirements for universal preschool education for children at the age of 5, and for universal primary and secondary education. Every year, 100% of the children at the age of going to the first grade are mobilized; and 100 % of children at the age of 5 are also called for to go to preschools.

The number of teachers for each grade level: 43 secondary school teachers, 68 primary school teachers; and 22 preschool teachers.

The number of students at each grade level: 548 secondary school students, 782 primary school students; and 327 preschool students.

In terms of the commune’s library, Bao Quang has a library located at its Community Learning, Culture, and Sports Center with more than 800 book titles, meeting the reading demand of more than 500 officials, people and students.

5. HEALTH

Bao Quang health center has 6 people: 1 doctor, 1 physician, 1 midwife, 1 nurse, 1 pharmacist, and 1 official in charge of population affairs.

The medical center of Bao Quang commune has an area of ​​678 sqm and a capacity of 5 sick beds. Every year, it offers initial medical examination and treatment to about 3,000 patients.

6. CULTURE

In terms of the commune’s culture house, Bao Quang has a community learning, culture and sports center on an area of ​​about 10,000 sqm, where there are a volleyball court, a soccer field and a badminton court.

There are 5 cultural houses in 5 hamlets, whose activities are regularly maintained.

Cultural, musical, and sporty movements are held regularly, contributing to serving the public spiritual life.
