Phuong Lam market in Tan Phu district meets requirements for a civilized market

As a commune of Tan Phu mountainous agricultural district, thanks to maximizing its geographical advantages, Phu Lam commune has an economic structure that suits local characteristics. Commercial and service sectors account for a large proportion in the commune and are developing on a small and medium scale. In the local economic structure in 2019, its commerce and services accounted for nearly 70% with a total retail sales of goods and services of VND2,660 billion.

Also, inspections are regularly conducted to remind household businesses to pledge not to trade banned, fake and poor quality goods. The awareness of small-sized businesses of food safety and hygiene has been gradually raised.

At the end of July, Phuong Lam market was granted with a certificate of civilized market by the provincial People’s Committee. In particular, the market management has paid a special attention to the criteria for order and security, fire prevention, and food safety and hygiene.

Thanks to this, Phuong Lam market has reached the standard of a civilized market.

According to the leadership of Phuong Lam commune, there are more than 1,600 facilities that are operating in trade and services, and small industry and handicrafts. The main source of income of the commune’s residents is from commerce, services and agriculture. The average income per capita is more than VND62 million per year and it is expected that in 2019 this figure will reach VND68 million to become among the top income earners ing Tan Phu district.
