The provincial leaders announced the Prime Minister’s Decision on recognizing that Bien Hoa city has completed its new countryside construction tasks in 2018 (the State Prime Minister’s Decision no. 500/QD-TTg dated May 3, 2019) and the Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s Resolution on the establishment of 6 wards in Bien Hoa city (the Standing Committee of the National Assembly’s Resolution no. 694/NQ-UBTVQH14 dated May 10, 2019).

Accordingly, as from July 1 6 communes of Bien Hoa city including Hiep Hoa, Hoa An, Tan Hanh, An Hoa, Phuoc Tan and Tam Phuoc communes will be upgraded to wards. Particularly, as from July 1 Bien Hoa city will have 29 wards and a communal administrative unit, Long Hung commune.

According to the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee of Bien Hoa city Pham Anh Dung, due to being an urban area Bien Hoa has built a new countryside in 5 communes including Hiep Hoa, Tan Hanh, An Hoa, Tam Phuoc, and Phuoc Tan. In the implementation, Bien Hoa has focused on strongly developing an agricultural production towards urban, organic and clean agriculture in accordance with the requirements for production land.

In addition, Bien Hoa city has prioritized its resources to build a synchronous infrastructure system to better meet rural residents’ production needs and life. Simultaneously, the Chairman of Bien Hoa city People’s Committee stressed that upgrading 6 communes to wards is an important milestone in the city’s development process, which creates a great motivation for the city’s people and authorities to continue to rise up and make Bien Hoa a civilized and modern city.

Head of the Central Commission for Propaganda and Education Vo Van Thuong handed over a decision on recognizing that Bien Hoa city has completed the task of building a new countryside in 2018 and a decision on establishing 6 wards to the leadership of Bien Hoa city.

Addressing the ceremony, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong highly appreciated the achievements in the process of developing a socio-economy and implementing the construction of the new countryside of the city’s Party Committee, authorities and people. The Secretary of the provincial Party Committee said, after its establishment of 6 wards Bien Hoa city has become a city under the provincial authorities with the biggest number of wards in the country. This is the motivation to continue encouraging both Bien Hoa and the province’s Party Committee, government and people in the process of national construction and defense.

Also, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Phu Cuong suggested that Bien Hoa city should continue to mobilize most resources for the investment in infrastructure construction, especially the transport system that connects with the southern key economic region; make Bien Hoa city a civilized and economically- dynamic city; and a center of industry, culture, commerce and services, science and technology, and education and training. At first, it is necessary to concentrate on completing and putting into operation key projects and continue to renovate the infrastructure system according to the first-class urban criteria.

On this occasion, Dong Nai People’s Committee offered a 5-billion-dong reward to Bien Hoa city’s Party Committee, authorities and people for fulfilling the task of building a new countryside.
